I was the prospect listening to a vendor present their offering. The salesperson was working his way through their product presentation and entered a section on \u201cCompetitive Differentiation.\u201d<\/p>\n

One slide listed several competitors, and the salesperson began to discuss how his product was superior to the others. I perked up and made a quick note.<\/p>\n

Seeing this, the salesperson asked me what I thought about the various competitors.<\/p>\n

I responded, \u201cWell, I didn\u2019t know that [Vendor C]\u00a0had<\/em>\u00a0an offering in this space. Many thanks for letting me know \u2013 I\u2019ll check them out!\u201d<\/p>\n

And [Vendor C]\u00a0did<\/em>\u00a0have an excellent product that, for our needs, was the best fit \u2013 which we purchased and enjoyed for years!<\/p>\n
